At Castle & Shell, we celebrate creativity while preserving the integrity of our brand. Although we typically discourage custom variants—since these can bypass Roblox’s official services and potentially dilute our brand identity—we acknowledge the passion of our community.

By creating custom versions of our clothing, you agree to abide by these guidelines. Your creative liberties are respected, provided that you follow the rules set forth below.

These guidelines do not inherently approve or permit the creation of derivative works. Any derivative content requires prior written confirmation from Castle & Shell, which is not automatically granted. Compliance with these guidelines only means that your customizations are less likely to be flagged for takedown, and we may offer creative leniency in good faith. By making custom content, you automatically acknowledge and accept this policy, regardless of whether you have read it previously.

Custom work qualifies for compliance upon purchase of the original clothing set and is considered compliant only if all the guidelines are met.

Compliant Qualification

• Original Purchase Requirement: The original clothing set must be purchased before any customizations are applied.
• Personal Use Only: All customizations are intended strictly for personal use and must not be used for commercial purposes.
• Non-Distribution Clause: Custom content must not be distributed, resold, or otherwise transferred to third parties.
• Roblox Compliance: All custom content must adhere to Roblox Community Standards and Terms of Use.

Permitted Customizations

• Anthropomorphic Edits: Adjustments that adapt the clothing for anthropomorphic avatars (e.g., anthropomorphic furries or creature designs), ensuring the original design intent remains intact.
• Boot/Glove Edits: Customizations to boots or gloves that preserve the core design.
• Patch Edits/Additions: Inclusion of patches or similar accents.
• Rolled Sleeve Variants: Creation of rolled sleeve versions if none exists, provided the original sleeve set was purchased.
• Military Content Compliance: Customizations involving military themes must suit our brand identity. Creators should, to the best of their knowledge, reference the military regulations of the originating country. This requirement is advisory only—we do not enforce full military regulation compliance nor expect comprehensive expertise in military standards.

Prohibited Customizations

• Political References: Any modifications incorporating political messages or symbols of any alignment are not permitted.
• Quality Degradation: Edits that reduce the clothing’s perceived quality (e.g., torn sleeves or overly used fabric effects) are forbidden unless produced exclusively by the official clothing group.
• Altered Proportions: Changes that distort the original scaling or sizing (such as overly short shorts or crop tops) are not allowed.
• Redraws Changing Design Type: As an example, transformations that convert a closed-button variant into an open-button variant are prohibited unless done solely by the clothing group.
• Muddied Effects: Adding elements like blood, dirt, or sand to the clothing is not allowed unless officially endorsed.

Enforcement & Takedown Policy

Castle & Shell retains the absolute right to request the takedown of any custom content at any time—regardless of guideline compliance. In good faith and out of respect for creative expression, we will not pursue takedowns for content that fully adheres to these guidelines. However, custom content deviating from these rules is more prone to receiving takedown notices.

In cases where content is not guideline compliant, we will make every effort to communicate directly with the creator using the best available methods, ensuring there are no unwelcome surprises.
